Each counselling session typically lasts 50 minutes. This gives you time to settle in, explore what’s on your mind, and begin to reflect without feeling rushed.
Sessions are held on a regular basis — often weekly or fortnightly— to create a sense of consistency and support as you move through your journey. This is something we can discuss together to see what the best option will be for you.
There’s no one-size-fits-all answer. Some people come for a few sessions, while others find longer-term support helpful. We’ll review things together regularly and you can choose to end or continue at any time
The first session is a chance for us to get to know each other. You can talk about what’s bringing you to counselling, ask any questions, and get a sense of whether it feels like a good fit. There’s no pressure to share anything you’re not ready to — we’ll go at your pace.
We will complete a referral form and the counselling contract - outlining how the sessions work and what we can both expect from one another. We will discuss your hopes and goals for therapy and begin your counselling journey
