Who are we?
Welcome to Serenity Minds Counselling, my name is Rebecca.

I am a fully qualified person-centred counsellor and a registered member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy).
About me

I’m a person-centred counsellor, which means I believe in creating a safe, respectful, and non-judgemental space where you can feel heard, accepted, and supported just as you are. My approach is rooted in empathy, authenticity, and a deep trust in your ability to find your own path forward — in your own time and in your own way.

My passion for supporting others with their mental health began during my teenage years into adulthood, when I was trying to make sense of the world while facing my own struggles. Those early experiences gave me a deep, personal understanding of how overwhelming life can feel — and how powerful it is to have someone truly listen, care, and walk alongside you without judgment.
It’s this understanding that continues to shape and inspire my work today. I’m committed to creating a space where you feel safe, seen, and supported — wherever you are on your journey. My goal is to offer the kind of presence I once needed: one rooted in empathy, acceptance, and genuine human connection.

What is counselling

Counselling is a safe, supportive space where you can talk openly about whatever is on your mind. It’s a place to be heard — without judgment, pressure, or expectation.
Sometimes life can feel overwhelming, confusing, or just heavy. Counselling offers the chance to slow down, explore your thoughts and feelings, and make sense of what you're going through with the support of someone who truly listens.
You don’t need to have all the answers — or even know exactly what’s wrong — to come to counselling. It's a gentle step toward understanding yourself more deeply and finding your way forward, in your own time.
